Day 1: Lima - Paracas

6:30am - 7:00am

Depart Lima - We pick up directly from hostels and hotels for safety and comfort. If staying in an Airbnb just email us. Your booking confirmation (ticket) will show you your exact pick-up time (depends on where you are staying!)

Luxury bus to Paracas with semi-bed reclining leather seats. This is ideal for relaxing on the journey to Paracas. All buses have USB ports, TV’s and toilets on board. Note that other tour companies mainly use minibuses to save on costs.

Breakfast Stop - We stop for the chance to try a unique breakfast straight from the bread ovens of Mirasur – Enjoy some of the freshest baked bread in Peru! (breakfast not included)

Secret Slave Tunnels – Exclusive visit and guided tour of Hacienda San Jose and the jaw-dropping secret tunnels. Once used to smuggle slaves, these tunnels can be found below the hacienda, where you will also learn about a darker side to Peruvian history.

Our bus arrives to Paracas, a beautiful small town by the sea.

Overnight stay in Paracas. Walk by the calm beach, enjoy fresh seafood, or sip a pisco sour as the sun sets!

Golden Shadows Trek – Tour to the heart of the Paracas National Reserve to experience an unforgettable sunset at Kori-Apu, the Golden mountain (la montaña dorada). As the sun sets, the rocks along the cliffs light up a golden color, and where even the shadows are aglow, lending to the name of the tour. Day 2: Paracas - Huacachina

We start our day! Meeting point is Los Frayles Residencial Hotel.

Ballestas Islands – 2 hour boat tour of the islands. The Ballestas are a smaller version of the Galapagos, and just as great. You’ll see sea lions, penguins and lots of birds all in there natural habitat. If you’re lucky, you may even see a dolphin or two!

Hop on our luxury bus once again for the adventures that await today! Our onboard Host will share with you some local insights as well as crazy stories about life in Peru (5 of the last 6 Presidents are in jail, the other one shot himself as he was about to be arrested!)

Dunebuggy and sandboarding – 2 hours full of adrenaline. Ride the dune buggies up and sandboard down the biggest dunes in South America. A once in a lifetime experience in the only natural desert oasis in South America.

6:00pm until the next day

Overnight stay in Huacachina. Enjoy some food or drinks around one of the many restaurants/bars around the oasis, or join our Peru Hop Host to watch the sunset from the dunes in true Peruvian style for a moment you will never forget.

Day 3: Huacachina - Nazca - Lima

Nazca Lines Flight – A flight over the Nazca Lines is the only way to truly appreciate from a unique perspective, the immense scale and intricate details of the famous Nazca Lines, huge geoglyphs etched into the Nazca Desert. Best viewed from the air the Nazca Lines include various shapes such as animals, plants, and geometric patterns, with some of the most famous figures being the monkey, spider, and hummingbird.

Check in and take flight.

Free time in Nazca. Roam around the desert city and discover some of it's landmarks like Plaza de Armas!

Acueductos de Cantalloc – Considered one of the oldest irrigational systems in the world. These ancient water aqueducts built 2000 years ago enabled the Nazca Culture to bring water from the Andes to the Nazca Valley via underground channels, bringing life to the desert lowlands.

What type of travelers take this tour?

Our 3 day tour is perfect for ALL types of travelers who are looking to maximize their time in Lima and see some of the most amazing sights in Peru in a short period of time.

65% of our passengers are female, the average passenger age is 31, and we have had people as old as 83, with plenty of families too!

Please note that children under 5 or pregnant women are not permitted on the Dune Buggy’s in Huacachina.

Why is Peru Hop better than trying to do it myself?

Simply put, it is very hard to do this itinerary by yourself without Peru Hop. Public buses do NOT go to Huacachina, they only go as far as Ica, so you would have to then arrange separate transport to and from Ica. As well as this, you would also have to coordinate getting to the bus terminals and from the bus terminals on your late return to Lima.

As well as all of this, Peru Hop offers a local onboard Travel Assistant fluent in English who you will simply love (read reviews about our fun and friendly guides all over the internet!) and Peru Hop is a great way to meet people from all over the world.

Finally, when you factor in everything included in our prices, you will see we offer great value for money, something which again is often commented on by passengers after their trip!
