Tour Itinerary & What's Included

Day 1

6:30am - 7:00am

Pickup at central hotels/hostels in La Paz.

9:45am - 10:00am

Strait of Tiquina ferry crossing.

11:00am - 11:30am

Arrive to Copacabana, drop off at Hotel Gloria (central location near all hotels and hostels)..

12:30pm - 2:00pm

Boat out to Isla del sol, departure from Taypi Uta restaurant (opposite White Anchor). Drop off at Pilkokaina Port at the south end of the island.

NOTE

This is a private return boat trip with a guided walk on the southern part of the island. You will receive a map and have time to explore on your own, but a guided visit is included from Pilkokaina Port to Yumani Port. You will take the boat out on the first day, stay overnight on the island, and return the following afternoon. Please note that the island entrance fee (10 Bs) and food are not included.

Walk around the sun temple Pilkokaina and the coast of Yumani.
The Fountain of Youth: Still running today, visit the fountain who's waters are believed to grant eternal youth.

Morning - 3:00pm

Free time on Isla del Sol to wander around, or relax and take in the serene atmosphere. Here are some recommendations:

Visit the Northern Part of the Island: Take a public boat to the northern end of the island (approx. 30 minutes) and hike back down to the south surrounded by spectacular island views (3 hours approx.)

3:00pm - 4:30pm

Boat back to Copacabana (departure from Yumani Port)

5:00pm - 5:45pm

Have dinner in one of the lake side restaurants in Copacabana harbour.

6:00pm

Bus departs to La Paz

10:30pm

Arrive to La Paz, drop off to all central hotels/hostels.
