Full Day Tour: Lima - Paracas - Huacachina - Lima

5:30am - 6:00am

Depart Lima - we pick up directly from hostels and hotels for safety and comfort. If staying in an Airbnb just email us. Your booking confirmation (ticket) will show you your exact pick-up time (depends on where you are staying!)

6:00am - 9:40am

Luxury Bus to Paracas with semi-bed reclining leather seats. This is ideal for relaxing on the journey to Paracas. All buses have USB ports, TV’s and toilets on board. Note that other tour companies mainly use minibuses to save on costs.

10:00am - 12:00pm

INCLUDED ACTIVITY

Ballestas Islands – 2 hour boat tour of the islands. The Ballestas are a smaller version of the Galapagos, and just as great. You’ll see sea lions, penguins and lots of birds all in there natural habitat. If you’re lucky, you may even see a dolphin or three!

12:00pm

Depart for the Pisco Vineyard. Meeting point: Hotel Residencial Los Frayles. Please be there a few minutes early. Hop on our luxury bus once again and settle in as our onboard Host shares local myths and backstories to set the scene for Huacachina, including the famous legend that the oasis was formed from a mermaid’s tears, as well as a few stories about life in Peru (5 of the last 6 presidents are in jail, and the other one took his own life as he was about to be arrested!).

INCLUDED ACTIVITY

Pisco Vineyard Tour – see how Pisco, Peru’s national drink, is made from the grape to the bottle and try lots of free samples.

3:00pm - 4:00pm

Arrive in Huacachina Oasis + free time. The weather here is always sunny and warm, so why not walk around the stunning Oasis, or go relax up in the dunes, or enjoy a Pisco Sour at a swimming pool in one of the hotels that allow our guests to enter!)

4:00pm - 6:00pm

INCLUDED ACTIVITY

Dune Buggy Ride and Sandboarding (optional) – Hold on tight during your Dune Buggy Ride across the incredible Dunes giving you spectacular views of the Oasis. Sandboards are also included for those who wish to Sandboard down the largest dunes in South America.

Important note: Peru Hop includes an exclusive extended 2 HOUR buggy tour – all other companies operate just a 1 hour tour!

7:00pm - 11:45pm

You will have time for food before the bus departs and then you can sit back and relax on the semi-bed seats while you enjoy a classic movie onboard (e.g Mrs. Doubtfire / Forrest Gump) whilst our host provides you with free locally made popcorn!

Or why not go through the 100+ photos you will have taken during the day or chat with some of the people you have gotten to know during the day !

You will be dropped off your accommodation back in Lima, tired but happy after an amazing experience!

What type of travelers take this tour?

Our day tour is perfect for ALL types of travelers who are looking to maximize their time in Lima and see some of the most amazing sights in Peru in a short period of time.

65% of our passengers are female, the average passenger age is 31, and we have had people as old as 83, with plenty of families too!

Note: For the Dune Buggy activity, children under 7 or pregnant women are not permitted on the buggy. For the Ballestas Islands, it’s suitable for ages 1 and up.

Why is Peru Hop better than trying to do it myself?

Simply put, it is very hard to do this itinerary by yourself without Peru Hop. Public buses do NOT go to Huacachina, they only go as far as Ica, so you would have to then arrange separate transport to and from Ica. As well as this, you would also have to coordinate getting to the bus terminals and from the bus terminals on your late return to Lima.

As well as all of this, Peru Hop offers a local onboard Travel Assistant fluent in English who you will simply love (read reviews about our fun and friendly guides all over the internet!) and Peru Hop is a great way to meet people from all over the world.

What should I bring on this tour?

Both Huacachina and Paracas are sunny towns. The following list of items are recommended:

Where can I leave my luggage when doing tours?

Is advanced booking recommended?
